Overnight Soaked Oats with Fresh Berries and Chia
I LOVE oatmeal! This is one of my favorite breakfasts simply because I can prepare it the night before. In the morning I take it out of the fridge, heat it up for 2 minutes, and indulge while packing school lunches. Great start to the day!
Ingredients
  • 1/4cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2cup unsweetened almond milkI prefer vanilla flavored
  • 1Tbsp greek yogurt(Optional)
  • 1/4tsp cinnamon
  • 1-2tsp chia seeds
  • 1touch 100% Natural Maple Syrupto sweeten
  • Berries of Choiceyou can use fresh or frozen
  • 1 Tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional!)
  • *I have also added raisins, peaches, apples, and walnuts
Instructions
  1. Find a microwaveable safe bowl or mason jar. Put in oats, almond milk, cinnamon, and berries. Cover and put in fridge overnight.
  2. In the morning add yogurt and then heat in micro for 2 min. Add syrup or honey to taste and sprinkle on chia seeds and chocolate chips!

Recipe Notes

*You can choose to put in all ingredients the night before. I personally think the yogurt and chia seeds perform better in the morning.
