Two of my favorite snacks mixed into one = Hummus + Chocolate! This is like the healthy version of Nutella! We love dipping apples and strawberries into this chocolate hummus. My kids often spread it on whole grain crackers for a snack. And if you want some extra added sweetness spread peanut butter on a whole grain cracker and then put some chocolate hummus on top. It's peanut butter cup-esk! We have made this recipe with both black beans and garbanzo beans. The hummus is a bit thicker in consistency when using the garbanzo beans and my kids think it has a stronger chocolate taste. We tend to stick with the garbanzo beans. Try it with both and see which one you prefer! Or mix the two beans together. You really can't go wrong! I would love to hear below in the comments which bean you prefer. Check out my chocolate hummus faced 5 year old below! He would have polished off the batch if I allowed him to!
