We use a simple formula with busy families in mind:
-Double Up Sunday: Make double of these recipes to be used for lunches throughout the week!
-Crock Pot Monday: Throw it all in and go! More lunch leftovers will be created.
-Easy Tuesday: Easy and simple meals that do not require a lot of prep for those nights when time is limited.
-Make Ahead Wednesday: Optional suggestion to cook and prepare this meal at the beginning of the week when you have the most time. Then simply reheat, eat and enjoy Wednesday night.
-Simple Thursday: Another easy-to-follow, delicious family meal.
-Leftover Friday: Who wants to cook on Friday anyway?
-Your Choice Saturday: Leftovers? Go out to eat? You chose!

HOW DID "EAT THE CHOCOLATE" GET STARTED?

Both members of the #MomsOf3BoysClub, Eat the Chocolate creators, Kathleen and Teri, are no strangers to tight-fitting pants post-babies and crazy, busy schedules with kids, work, and households to maintain.

When they decided it was time to get back on track with their own nutrition, they soon developed a passion for finding simple ways to feed their families quick, healthy meals that are budget-friendly and kid-approved. By paying attention to portion sizes and cutting back on processed foods, not only did their pants start fitting better, they just plain felt better too!

They also realized, however, that in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, they couldn't completely deprive themselves, particularly when it came to chocolate treats.

By finding ways to include chocolate in every meal plan, they were able to stick with this healthier lifestyle, and continue to do so to this day. When the goal is to eat healthy most of the time, with room for healthier chocolate treats each week, the name "Eat the Chocolate" was the perfect fit!

Their meal plans center on these 4 principles:
1. Eating healthy most of the time (80/20 or so) because to them, this is a lifestyle, not a quick fix diet.
2. Having a plan each week means less waste, saving money, less stress and more family time!
3. Cutting back on processed foods and eating more whole foods.
4. Always leave room in the meal plan for chocolate treats!
